Hello everyone! Since I put Jollybeans on hiatus for personal reasons, I've been struggling with what to do with them. I didn't want to let them go, but at the same time they no longer brought me the same joy as they once did and I eventually became too busy to run a whole species by myself.
I'm happy to announce that I have sold the species to loppyrae and they'll become a part of Midveil and STRUDELcafe!
This means I will disbanding the Jollybean-Parade group and the masterlist once the transition has been completed. All current Jollybean designs will be considered "Gen 1". I know there are a few people who were still interested in the species and I apologize for the sudden change. I hope the new direction will be just as exciting for you as it is for me!
What does this mean for Jollybean owners?
There are a few options for people who own a Jollybean!
1. If you own Jollybean and no longer wish to use it, I can offer to buy it back, or trade for it! If you have directly purchased the Jollybean I can offer the original price, otherwise I can buy it back for a flat $5 USD. If you're interested in trading I can offer characters or art! Let me know what you'd prefer under THIS COMMENT.
Any Jollybeans that are traded-in will be voided as Jollybeans, or revamped as Gen 2 for future raffles/FTO opportunities!
2. You can continue to use your Jollybean design as a separate, "Gen 1" version. It will retain the same form but will not be useable within the StrudelCafe group.
3. You can hold on to your design and have it upgraded to a Gen 2 version to be used in the STRUDELcafe group! This is still a work in progress but the option will be available in a few months once the new traits and lore have been fleshed out.
What about people who are still interested in Jollybeans?
If you do not own a Jollybean but wish to see how they develop, feel free to join the STRUDELcafe group or follow loppyrae for updates! There are so many lovely species within this group, and it's truly a wonderful community to be a part of!
